Unless you are working on a collaborative project, asking someone to critique your work in progress is a dangerous request. There are monsters lurking who would tear your work apart just for the sport of it. Your work is not everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay. When you ask someone their opinion, they will likely either say it's "wonderful," which might lead you to slack off, or they could slash it like Freddy Kruger, making you think you should trash your work. Don't be tempted. Trust your own artistic instinct.
