As a budding artist, Edgar Degas copied the works of masters such as da Vinci, Michelangelo, Carvaggio, and Delacroix. Early in his professional career, he befriended fellow painters Manet, Cezanne, and Monet and they got together to discuss techniques utilized in each other's artworks.
